Faculty of Applied SciencesPartner OverviewThe University of West Bohemia (UWB) in Pilsen is foremost a technical university that is rooted in strong collaboration with local industry partners. The university comprises over 13,000 students, 900 academic staff members, and 9 faculties. The faculty of Applied Sciences comprises the New Technologies for Information Technology European Centre for Excellence and within it the Lab for Advanced Power Systems (LAPS). The laboratory regularly partners with local electrical system companies in developing methods and system tools for network analysis and operation. Core competences
